At DreadSchool, our community is the heart of everything we do. Every loctician, student, and creator contributes to a living network of knowledge, skill, and support where experience is shared, creativity is celebrated, and every voice is valued.
There are many ways to help keep this network thriving.
Our Membership Tiers coming early 2026 are structured to sustain DreadSchool and continue offering community support, advertising & promotion for your business.
One-off contributions in our Community Jar allow us to stock high-quality hair, tools, and products, redistribute creations to members, and provide opportunities for those facing financial hardship. Make a contibution to get yourself on the MAP!
Material donations - from extensions to handmade creations and haircare products,
your valuable creations help fuel learning, practice, and creativity across our community.
You can also support us behind the scenes by helping with administration, moderating our Facebook state groups,
creating educational or practical content, producing tutorials, or tagging DreadSchool in your work
so we can share it with our wider audience.
Every contribution, big or small, strengthens our community, supports empowerment, and helps us lift up other aspiring dreadlock artists and women whom are facing challenges, giving them the tools and opportunities to build sustainable independence.

Donations of dreadlock extensions, scrap or leftover synthetic hair, wool, practice/reject lokks, or other items suitable for student practice or resale in the soon-to-be-launched DreadCollective SHOP
Haircare products, beads, charms, and accessories for resale in the DreadSchool SHOP.
Preloved dollies with hair to distribute to lokked-kids who want a doll that resembles them, as a part of the Children Of The Crown project.

Moderating our Facebook Dreadlock state groups - includes sharing posts from other locticians who work in that state.
Answering student questions, providing guidance on assessment work and techniques, and encouraging interaction by posting daily in our Facebook Student Group.
Helping with tagging, sharing posts, and promoting DreadSchool content online using hashtags:

Cross-posting in the DREADUCATION facebook group
Producing step-by-step guides, video demonstrations, or blog posts for the future “Community Resource Library”.
Sharing your success stories, client before/after transformations, or highlights in the Student Group to enable us all to easily re-share content for LOKKTICIAN SPOTLIGHT posts.

Recording short 1-minute videos introducing yourself, sharing your experience with DreadSchool, talking about course content, and showing your journey as a loctician - essentially a video review that also highlights your own business
Document your personal journey with DreadSchool, from starting out to current projects.
Share behind-the-scenes glimpses into your creative process, tools, and daily life as a loctician.
Creating new content virtually by using old content in DreadSchool social pages to design graphics and recycle social media posts.
Promoting DreadSchool and affiliated Pro Lokkticians through personal networks, Instagram, TikTok, or other social media.
