DREADSCHOOL is our LEARN section.
Here you’ll find the heart of our Dreaducation, where foundations are built, skills are refined, and curiosity is fed. From beginner guidance to advanced technique, we offer structured learning, cultural awareness, and professional development for locticians and self-taught artists alike.
The LEARN section also houses our homeschool-friendly children’s resources including Children of the Crown where young minds can explore hair culture and creativity through story and play. -
DREADCRAFT is the soul of our creative practice- the space where tools, rituals, artistry, and intention meet.
Here we honour the subtle magic behind the craft: the focus, the care, the hands-on devotion that brings each dreadlock to life. Whether practical, spiritual, or creative, this section keeps the craft grounded and inspired. -
In DREADHAIR you’ll find a curated collection of pure henlon, wool & recycled human hair bundles sourced with ethics, quality, and client safety in mind.

Our DREAD COLLECTIVE is where our community circle gathers.
Here lives the Locticians Directory, student spaces, collaborative projects, and The Dread Collective, a growing network of learners, educators, and artists across Australia and beyond.
As the exclusive Australian host of the SistaSystem Pro Lokktician Course, we provide a place for students to train, connect, and grow with guidance and support.
My name is Sharna, and I am the founder and flamekeeper of DREADSCHOOL and my sacred craft, VALHALLA HAIR.
I have walked the dreadlock path for over 13 turns of the sun, weaving locks and lore alike - but it wasn’t until 2023 that I enrolled in the Weirdsistas Pro Lokktician Course. What I discovered was far more than technique… I found a coven of kin, a community of witches, warriors, weirdos and weavers who lifted each other higher with each twist and knot.
Through this journey, I rose as a Lokktician at VALHALLA HAIR and certified Trainer, guiding fellow seekers through their dreaducation with sacred 1-on-1 mentorship, embodying both student and steward of the craft.
When the founders of Sistasystem Dreadlock Academy, Weirdsistas Nazy & Bonn, laid down their tools in 2024, I was honored to be chosen as the new guardian of their legacy. Their academy rooted in magick since 2008 now lives on through me, through DREADSCHOOL, reborn in runes and fire.
My vision is vast: to build DREADSCHOOL into a cauldron of knowledge, inspiration, and community for all dreadheads, dreadwitches, and lock-loving souls across the realms.
This is a haven for tips, tricks, sacred methods, and soul-deep support.
